Medline Industries, Inc. Expands Vitals and Weight Medical Device Integration to AOD Software

Thursday, March 17, 2016

Medline Industries, Inc., the leading provider of medical device integration systems specifically designed for the long-term and post-acute care (LTPAC) industry,  announced the integration of its CareConnection® connectivity platform with AOD Software’s electronic health record system. AOD is a leading provider of software solutions to senior living with a particular focus on Continuing Care Retirement communities.

“We are pleased to offer integration with AOD’s product,” said Jodi Funderburk, Director of Business Development for Medline's Diagnostics Division. “Senior care organizations face significant challenges, including the need to reduce unnecessary hospital readmissions. The ability to accurately capture vital signs and weights then quickly give clinical professionals access to this information is critical in addressing this need. With the integration between CareConnection and AOD, skilled nursing and assisted living organizations will now have the capability to deliver resident vital signs and weights directly to the resident’s record.”

By eliminating manual entry of vital signs and weight information, providers can save documentation time, improve accuracy, and expedite the flow of critical clinical information from bedside to the resident’s electronic chart. AOD’s software used for documenting activities of daily living can also be accessed on the CareConnection Vitals Care Cart CareHub tablet, giving customers a mobile kiosk option that reduces overall hardware investment.
